Founder, Swiss Precision
I was fifteen the first time I set foot in a carpentry workshop, and I left already imagining building the interiors of my own house one day. A year later, I began four years of formal training at a monastery workshop in Engelberg, Switzerland, in a craft tradition with eight centuries behind it, the kind of training that leaves no tolerance for error. It once produced a pair of hand-built skis precise enough to ski on. That standard is what I brought with me to Los Angeles, where I've since carried high-end residential projects across the city, Geneva, and France.
Done right, the work is invisible. The client never has to think about who built it, because nothing about it ever required their attention.
Swiss Precision exists because that standard is rare here in Los Angeles. I've watched too many high-end projects lose a designer's original intent the moment it moves from vision to execution, passed between a contractor and a fabricator who read only the drawing. I built this practice to close that gap myself: advisory, drafting, fabrication, and installation, carried by one person, so nothing is lost between the idea and what's built.
Every project starts with its full sequence charted before a single cut is made, with checkpoints built into every stage. What I want a client or designer to feel is ease: the confidence to hand off a project and trust it is being guarded as carefully as their own reputation.
I sit in the design meetings. I draft the drawings. I install the final piece myself. On a project too important to get wrong, nothing about it should be a surprise to the person who's supposed to be the expert in the room.
